Princess Party!!!

The nursery in our ward had a Princess Party. All senior nursery and their sisters. So we dressed up and attended the Royal Ball, as Megan called it. After about 20 minutes of drama that I was not wearing a dress and that I should call for my fairy godmother I convinced her that I was a Princess by putting on a plastic crown that I found under the crib that I think came from a Happy Meal at McDonald's. She climbed into the coach (our car) slightly disappointed that there was no coachman to help her in and that our car had not been transformed into a glorious pumpkin carriage. We got there and put Princess Amy into her stroller and strolled into the gym at the church. Again, momentarily disappointed that the trumpets did not sound and her presence be made known to all in attendance. Then she saw the bubbles and all was right in paradise. She had arrived at the most magnificent party in the land. She danced in the bubbles and then asked me if I would hold her purse as she gleefully skipped across the floor to the Princess couch and then to the castle where she ran from one of the doors saying oh my slipper and then muttered the words, stop in the name of the king! And then she danced around to look at the lights and then to the face painting, but didn't want anything painted on her face and then to the mirror to look at her dress and check her crown. All the while it seemed as though she was in search of something. And then while I sat at the craft table making Amy a crown she informed me that there was something missing. She said there were no Princes. She asked me how she could to the music without a Prince. Holding in a laugh I said that there were a few Princes there, but she could also pretend and happy with that answer she was off again.
I did forget their lunches so at lunch time she quietly sipped her juice and waited for Brynne to bring her lunch. She was absolutely in Heaven. She was quite irritated when she realized that she needed to go potty and had to leave the Party, but she did not want to ruin her dress.
The REAL Princess’ as she called them sang songs, handed out stickers and read stories.
What a wonderful party, thank you to all those that made it possible.
