Making Grampa Proud!!!

Grandparents are proud of their grandchildren for many reasons. Simply because they are their grandchildren, but also because of things that they do and say. Amy and Megan do many things that build a sense of pride and love. Today I would like to share how Amy has carried on my Dad's ledgend and made him proud.

Growing up my Dad ate many things that I thought were odd like DILL PICKLES and RAW POTATOES to name a few. I have never been a fan of dill pickles, sweet yes --- dill-never. I also have never been a fan of raw potatoes, cooked yes --- raw- not at all. Raw beets, well that is entirely another story that many already know and if you don't- - - - ask me and I will tell you.

About a month ago we went to lunch and on the plate next to the sandwich was a dill pickle. Sam gave her the dill pickle anticipating a humorous face, but instead she ate the whole thing while saying, mmmmmmmm... and wanted more. I immediately called my Dad who was thrilled and amused.

The other day I was cutting up potatoes for dinner and Amy thought one of them was a ball so she asked for it... I thought this will keep her busy while I finish... I looked back and she had eaten a chunck out of the potato saying, mmmmmmmm.....

So again she has made Grandpa proud.
Good Job Amy!
