Another Santa Sighting

Last Saturday we went to our ward Christmas Party at church and believe it or not.... Santa was there too. Megan could not believe it. She let out a high pitched squeal followed by a nervous giggle, looked at me and said, "Mama, it's Santa! He is everywhere. I thought he was busy, but he came, he came."
I told her that after she finished her dinner she could go up and talk to him. I have never seen Meagan eat her dinner so fast. Not one complaint when I said two more bites and you can be done. She gobbled them up and was beside the table saying, "come on, come on, let's go." She was so excited. She pulled me and her two cousins; Emma and Savanah up to go see Santa. The line of 4 kids seemed like a million. She was very politely telling people to excuse her she needed to get through to go see Santa. When I told her she needed to wait by me she said ok, but could those kids get out of the way so she could see him.
She was finally at the front of the line and on her way to see Santa, only because she had pushed someone down and beat some in a running race. She had made it to Santa. She stood in front of him and said hello. She asked for a hug and Santa scooped her up and proceeded to ask her what she wanted for Christmas. She said a Teddy bear, a baby doll, and a puppet. Her list seems to keep growing along with her love and admiration for Santa.

My silly girls...

Megan and Amy were playing and being so silly together. I grabbed the camera and took some pictures. We actually were trying for more serious family pictures, but still pleased with what we got. Every time I got Amy to look at the camera and smile Megan would squint her eyes, throw her head back and laugh. These two are so fun. Very silly, but such a joy. Children are the joy in my life Inever knew I was missing until I had them. Thank you for letting me share my silly girls with you.

Amy's first ponytail

Just being silly.... Amy's first ponytail.

Megan's first day at Pre- Preschool

At the high school there is a preschool where many of Megan's friends and cousin Emma go to school. She begs and pleads to go with them. The teacher asked if a few parents could bring in 3 years old and younger children in so that the class could observe and as the parents questions about development and behavior. So of course we agreed. Megan was so excited that she could hardly sleep the night before. She saw a picture of Brynne on the front steps on the first day of school. I told her about it and about how when I was growing up Grandma always took my picture on the front steps before school. She said, "I want to do it too." So before going to the high school, Sam took her picture.

Our first visit with Santa

On December 1, 2007 we went downtown and found the most perfect Santa. Megan was full of awe and admiration. Santa knew her name and she got to sit on his lap. Since we were the only ones there he spent about 10 minutes with us and let us take as many pictures as we wanted. Megan sat on Santa's lap twice and danced around him. Amy loved the bells. After our visit with him he walked down off of the stage and disappeared. Then we heard the reindeer bells in the distance. It was a very magical experience.
