Insane or ingenious I am not sure.
This year I registered for this zany, life-changing event and ask you to join with me in my dedication and insanity by donating to the cause. I want to live in world without breast cancer. I am excited about this event, because I know it will be a challenging and life altering adventure.
This event will not be easy, but I promise you, I wouldn’t be doing it if I didn’t believe 100% that it was worth every muscle ache, every blister, weary night and training walk. The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. We will walk around the Seattle area from September 12 - 14, 2008.
I walk because every 3 minutes another family hears those unbelievably terrifying words, “It’s breast cancer” and they are forced onto a journey they never envisioned for themselves or their loved one. I walk because every 13 minutes another family loses someone very dear to this disease and they’d do nearly anything to have them back.
I walk for my mom, my sister and sister in laws, my cousins, my aunts, my grandmas, my daughters and my friends and anyone who has lost a loved one. I walk because I have been blessed and do not have breast cancer. I walk because it is one small way that I can reach out and help. I walk because I do want to live in a world without breast cancer. This walk is something I can do to make a difference. And supporting me is something you can do to make a difference.
Over the last 25 years, every advance in breast cancer research, treatment, education and prevention has been touched by a grant from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
To walk I am required to raise a minimum of $2200. If you are interested in walking with me as part of my team, The Kannely Clan, We’d love to have you. If you are unable to walk this year and your would like to support me... your financial support as well as your emotional support are welcomed as I continue my efforts to make a difference in this fight. You can donate a little each month or just once, but a donation of any amount will help. You can give online at http://www.the3day.org/. Just follow the link below to visit my personal fundraising webpage and make a donation. You can also call 800.996.3DAY to donate over the phone. Thank you in advance for your help.
I walk this year in memory of my Great Aunt Treva and in honor and support of my friend Linda J. who has recently been diagnosed.
I hope that this is the year that we find a cure...
